It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it. – Seneca, Stoic Philosopher

Stoic philosophy is currently having a revival, and we are fascinated. For us, with our focus last year on making Pixel as efficient as possible for our users, it’s the Stoic take on time that really resonates. The Stoics believed that time is the only thing we have of real value, so spending it in ways that increase your fullness of life was the aim.

So, in the spirit of helping our users make the most of their precious time, we’ve been speaking to the teams of designers who work full time in the Pixel platform. We want to share how they leverage the capabilities and flexibility of our no code software as the foundation for their large-scale web design and development businesses, while providing a little background on what white labelling is for those who may be new to the arena.

'White labelling for us is extremely important. It means we can uphold our business identity and build our brand without investing resources into maintaining our own code base. That is just huge'

So, what is white labelling?
White labelling enables web designers and developers to build an extensive content management system (CMS) within the Pixel Together platform. This often involves designer teams quickly and easily creating their unique templates with our drag and drop, no code functionality, then making those templates customisable or specialised for their client base. The white labelling aspect then hides all the Pixel Together branding, which can be replaced with the design company's style, theming and logos.

To your customers, it appears the site creation is all you. As a result, you maintain aesthetic control and can allow your customers to see the back end of their sites without giving away your processes.

And, of course, in Pixel Together, you still have complete control over the design and functionality of the site but skip the foundation-building step.

So what are the advantages for me, the web designer?
White labelling can maximise two high-cost areas – time and output. Pixel’s intuitive, scalable, and flexible functionality (read more about that here) and our array of tools honed to maximise your productivity ensure that creating a variety of custom templates will be highly efficient. Add to that the ability that white labelling gives you to set your pricing packages for your clients, and you can ensure your cost margins are super workable.

Once you’re up and running within the platform, the time-saving aspect of white labelling really becomes apparent. Working in Pixel means no more hours spent updating WordPress plugins, writing custom code, hiring security experts to perform penetration tests or worrying about whether your sites are backed up securely.

And the advantages for my client?
Your client gets access to a custom template within a CMS tailored to their specific industry via a business and brand they trust (you!). You dictate the level of support you provide, the packages you offer and the aesthetic and functional experience for your clients.

To get further insight, we spoke to one of our Pixel users, whose portfolio of over 300 sites are white labelled:
“White labelling for us is extremely important. It means we can uphold our business identity and build our brand without investing resources into maintaining our own code base. That is just huge.

It removes what could otherwise be an enormous time investment. With Pixel, we can pick up a product that we effectively own without having to maintain it. It is a significant cost saving for our business in terms of time and resourcing.

White labelling also allows us to do what we need to do for our clients without giving away the secrets to our kingdom!”

What does this have to do with Stoicism anyway?
Having this foundation prebuilt saves you an enormous amount of time – both in the initial phases of creating the CMS and in maintaining it. And remember, of everything we possess in life, the Stoics believe that time is the most valuable. So, with the hours, days and weeks your company can save building your business in Pixel, you can focus on growth pathways and creative opportunities or take a moment to read a good book on your now pressure-free lunch break (here’s our pick for a light-hearted, practical approach to Stoicism).

In Pixel, creating a white label site is super straightforward. White labelling is available on any multi-site plan. Simply purchase the bundle you chose, and you will be assigned a white label website. Then, brand away!
